I enjoyed our trip to Trimborn Farm. One of my favorite things at Trimborn Farm was the lime kilns. I thought it was so cool that we could go in and actually find limestone in there. We even got to feel the soft, white limestone powder. When they made the powder, they put it in wagons and brought it to the Trimborn store to be sold.

I really liked the big red building, and how they put in the beams without nails! It really stuck into my head, so I remembered it.

Otherwise, the whole farm area was interesting, including the quarry, which was great for climbing. :D

My favorite part of Trimborn Farm was the Lime Kilns. I liked this part because they were so big and I thought it was fun that we could walk in them. They were also very pretty and cool inside. I thought it was interesting to learn how they used the kilns to make Lime Stone.

I liked the lime kilns. I liked them because I got to touch powder (lime)and it felt like nothing. I learned 1 interesting fact- if it rained or if you put water on lime powder, it would explode!

I liked Trimborn Farm because we got to use the wash boards. I like the wash board because it's an old fashion way to do something that doesn't use electricity. It was fun because it was like making music and we actually got to wash something.

Trimbourn Farms was a blast. I learned that kids my age do not have the best jobs. The term where potty came from were farms. If you had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and you didn't want to go to some kind of bathroom place. So there's these pots under the beds. Kids have to empty those. They had no electricity so they couldn't just wash their clothes in a normal washer and dryer. They're these things called washboards. You put them into a big bucket of water. Put the washboard into the water dip your clothes into it. athen rub it against the washbaord. As I said there was no electricity in those days so they had no TV or Computer. So how did they entertain themselves? They did it with music. When all the farmers are doing their hard work somebody rings the bell. It means it's time for dinner. They didn't have stoves either so they used a woodburning stove. They can do more than normal stoves.Without one you couldn't iron your clothes. You'd put the irons on the stove. Take one once it gets cold put it back on the stove and take a different one. There was also the lime kilns. You put lime on your hands wash them and then they explode. Just kidding. We each got a little bit of lime to see. Finally this is an interesting way to make homemaid butter. Put any kind of cream in a jar or bottle. Shake it up and it molds into butter.

I like the lime stone/lime kilms and I didn't like when the children had to clean the pots in the bedroom. I think the tools that they used on the farm were cool! It was interesting to see how the women made bread and how the men would cut down wood for fire.
